The Table

WHO WE ARE...

The Table was born out of a desire to relationally connect with God, with each other, and with the village in which we live.  There have been a few phrases that have started to define what this looks like for us:

Jesus-Centered Community.

At the heart of our church is a deep commitment to being a Jesus-centered community. Jesus is the One we follow, the leader of our church. We strive to embody His teachings and example in all that we do, seeking to reflect His love, grace, and truth in our lives and in our relationships with one another. As a community, we are dedicated to growing closer to Jesus, learning from Him, and allowing His presence to guide and shape us in every aspect of our journey together.

We are irrationally committed to the well-being of each other.

We believe the very best way to love is in following Jesus’ command: “Love one another the way I have loved you.” - John 15:12

We desire to put our lives on the line for our friends. We aim to grow in love with those around us with open arms as we walk in the ways of Jesus together.

Radical Hospitality.

With love as the focus, we want to be the ones who feed the hungry, welcome those who are overlooked, and become family to those who feel orphaned.

Jesus refers to Himself in this way: "...I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me." - Matthew 25:35

We desire to show this same hospitality to everyone around us!

All to God's glory and for His purposes.

Just as the early church formed a community devoted to the word of God, to prayer and worship, to sharing meals, and to each other's needs - we hope to create the same atmosphere as we gather.

"...everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by his power, and everything is for his glory. To him be glory evermore." - Romans 11:36
